In many countries around the world, rural people are moving to cities, so the population in the countryside is decreasing. Do you think this is a positive or a negative development? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words.

Nowadays, rural
individuals
in different countries around the globe are relocating to major
cities
,which leads to a significant decline in the population of the countryside.
Although
it may bring several advantages, the negative implications of
this
outweigh the positive aspects of moving to the
cities
. In
this
essay I am going to outline some of these difficulties and provide reasons, alongside some examples of
this
phenomenon in my country will be provided.
To begin
with, when
individuals
move to the major
cities
, they cause many issues not only for the government but
also
for themselves.
In other words
,
this
has an adverse effect on the local businesses and may lead to going bankrupt, or cause recession there as the population in the countryside falls.
In addition
to
this
, overpopulation in major
cities
could impact the housing rate directly.
For instance
, in my country, over 3 million
individuals
have moved to Tehran, the capital of Iran, in the past decade.
Nonetheless
, the number of houses and apartments has not changed, apparently.
Therefore
, the housing rate soared dramatically, forcing middle- and lower-class families to move to suburbs to find proper accommodation to live in.
Consequently
, they spend more time commuting. The implications of overpopulation are not limited to these aspects. The welfare and the level of hygiene in the major
cities
will be affected over the period of time. Governments around the globe are required to allocate a considerable proportion of their budget for the new issues in major
cities
rather than being used for tourism infrastructure, providing basic amenities in other towns in order to increase the welfare of other families living in the towns and countryside and boost local businesses. Apparantly, in my country, folks outside of major metropolians, are suffering from the lack of drinking water, basic amenities and poor education.
To sum up
,
however
moving to the urban areas from rural ones could benefit the folks in some respects,
for example
, accessing a wide range of technology and better health care, not only will it adversely affect rural areas in many aspects of life, but
also
those who have moved to the big
cities
. From my point of view, the best method to implement is to provide facilities for rural
individuals
and governments need to boost local markets to prevent
this
phenomenon from happening or at least alleviate
this
issue. In
this
way, both rural and urban populations could benefit and the quality of their lives will be enhanced in many ways.
