Dear Sir, I am writing
this
letter to express my disappointment with the changing room in the sports centre. I bought a membership online from your website on 27 November 2024. A changing room, Number 2 in the sports centre has not been big enough as expected from day first. The primary issue I faced during my visits there were no proper security lockers despite being advertised as fully secured. There is no proper ventilation system and falls suffocate. There should be two rooms for changing to avoid congestion issues.
Additionally
, I had spent $100 on membership fees and getting
this
type of facilities not justified. please let me know how you would like to resolve
this
problem without any future issues. Yours faithfully, Alex

task achievement
The letter presents the problem effectively but could benefit from additional specific examples or details regarding the issues faced in the changing rooms to further clarify the situation.
coherence cohesion
Consider rephrasing some sentences for better grammar and clarity. For example, "falls suffocate" is unclear, probably referring to walls or atmosphere.
task achievement
The letter outlines the main concerns clearly and addresses the purpose of communication to the manager.
coherence cohesion
The use of a formal greeting and closing is appropriate for this type of letter.
task achievement
The letter maintains a formal and polite tone throughout, suitable for communicating with a manager.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
