Shops should give preference to selling local foods rather than imported foods. Do you agree or disagree?

Traders should give more importance to selling domestic foods than the foreign foods.
Although
it will be beneficial for the vendors, I believe that they should sell all varieties because of the reasons explained in the essay. On one hand, the emphasizing the sale of locally grown fruits and vegetables will play a significant role in boosting the public health. Since exporters usually add chemicals to keep the items fresh, it will be harmful to the health of the locals, and
therefore
, if stores sell only the home grown goods, the associated diseases will not affect the buyers.
For example
, India imports almost ninety percent of apples and most physicians agree that these are high in pesticides and causes many ailments.
Thus

On the other hand
, placing significance to the sale of the domestic
food
is not always advantageous because the rich
food
sources sometimes need to be imported. Some plants and trees are tropical while the others grow in cold weathers. If the shops only sell the domestically cultivated herbs and vegetables, the people cannot reap the benefit of consuming nutrient rich foods that are harvested in the foreign countries.
For instance
, the Moringa leaves have high levels of vitamins and protein, but it can be grown only in places of abundant sunshine, and It is sent to nations all over the world from Mexico and Africa.
Hence

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
