Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

 as a medium of education and for religious purposes. With the globalization of trade and advancement of the transport industry, the frequency of people travelling abroad for work and/or pleasure is on the rise. Understandably, one has to learn the

 of the country where he or she is travelling in order to communicate with the natives.
Hence
, many people believe that the only factor to learn their

 is to overcome

 barrier.
That is
 why many European countries would require a certified

 exam qualification to issue a work visa. In my view,

 might be a valid purpose to learn a

, but there are others as well. One probable cause to develop skills in a foreign

 is to gain an education in many countries. In many Asian countries,

, the medium of education is English. So the children have to learn

 right from the beginning of their educational career.

 written in English because it is being taught throughout the world.

 learnt to understand the religious books and scriptures.

, the Holy book of Muslims is basically written in Arabic.

, the understanding of the religious scriptures of Jews and Christians would require some knowledge of Hebrew and Greek. Admittedly, their translations are available in many local languages for the common people; those who tend to become religious scholars would be required to learn those languages. To conclude,

 for travelling to another country, I believe that it is not the sole purpose, and most people are learning it to attain their educational and religious goals.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.
