Governments should spend more money on railways rather than roads

It is argued that whether authorities should focus on developing railway lines for high-speed trains between cities or investing in renovating existing public

. While many people concur with spending on public

, I would argue that constructing new railway systems

more beneficial. On the one hand, there is no denying the values and benefits of public
transport
such
as buses and the fact that they need to be upgraded.
Firstly
, not only do buses have multiple pick-up stations, which are all close to residential areas, they require only a small fee for transportation.
This
has enabled many farmers and poor people in developing countries

access to travel.
Secondly
, the majority of people use these systems to travel. Take Vietnam,
for instance
, it is recorded that 80% of public
transport
users prefer buses. For these reasons, many people believe the national budget should be utilized in enhancing public
transport
for the community.
On the other hand
, the erection of railway systems for fast trains will alleviate traffic congestion and provide a speedy as well as reliable system. Rail communication is said to be safer, faster and more convenient due to the fact that trains can carry a great number of passengers and cargo at the same time and can achieve

Furthermore
, high-speed

For example
, the underground metro system in the USA has contributed vastly to the overall

system in the country. In conclusion,
although
there are many reasons to improve the existing public

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
