Some people say history is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that, in today’s world, subjects like science and technology are important than history. Discuss both the views and give your own opinion.

Schools offer education that contributes to a child's development and growth, in
such
situation, subjects like history to be taught in schools or not has become a sparkling debate. While some think it is crucial to teach past, others,
however
, argue that STEM subjects should be given priority.
This
essay will discuss both the points and explain why I believe science and technology should be on top of any other subject. Certainly, those who support educating the ancient culture argue so for the following factors,
firstly
, they claim that the culture and traditions of a nation must be carried forward, and the only way to do
this
is by keeping
such
subjects alive. The Indian culture
for instance
, is flourishing; it is never burnt out since the government supports a branch of history in education and entertainment both. Another reason for supporting is to understand the patterns of human behaviour and consequences, to elaborate, studying kings and their style of ruling countries will enable current authorities refrain from repeating mistakes of the past.
Therefore
, for those who give importance to cultures and people around, teaching ancient heritage as a course is justified.
Conversely
, others, myself included, have two significant reasons to back up the ideology of educating science and technology. The foremost one is to keep children abreast in competition to learn new things to adapt to the speedy changing nature of the present society. Writing code, using tabs and experimenting new things,
for example
, will enable a child to survive with peers in the upcoming Artifically Intelligent world.
Moreover
, the organizations hire people with technical knowledge rather than the one who understands history. To prove
this
argument, a research shows that 80% of employed personals are specialized in either science or technological fields. Overall, It is important to understand our past, but to be competent and keep up with the society, it is always better to look forward and consume the knowledge that will benefit the most to earn and live a standard life
instead
of focusing on outdated courses.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
