Stress is now a major problem in many countries around the world. What are some of the factors in modern society that causes this stress, and how can we reduce it?

One of the major concerns among nations worldwide is stress. The most common reasons for
this
is pressure at work and negativity
that is
coming from the media. There are ways,
however
, to diminish the emotional tension by shifting focus between activities and abstaining from the news. The modern workplace culture and a negative impact
of
Suggestion
on
the news media are contributing to stress. Nowadays, people exhaust and torment themselves working extended hours and thinking about problems at their jobs all the time. It is commonplace,
for instance
, to work 60 hours at the office and from home afterwards while being paid for just 40 hours. The news media make the situation worse as people are constantly bombarded by information about current conflicts, crimes, natural disasters or epidemics. Indeed, extensive coverage and exaggeration of the current pandemic has led to high levels of anxiety and even panic among some people. In order to become less anxious people can try various activities
besides
the main occupation and spend less time watching the news. As many psychiatrists suggest, a new activity can be an excellent relaxation from the previous stressful one. Examples of
such
alternatives can be jogging, hobbies, socializing face-to-face with friends or anything that helps to occupy the mind.
Also
, the checking of Twitter or Facebook Newsfeeds or watching news broadcasts should be a taboo. If a person has their own problems, adding an insult to the injury by empathizing with all current issues around the world is counterproductive and should be avoided. In conclusion, current reality presents many issues that make people around the world emotionally strained.
This
can be attributed to work pressure and negativity coming from the news, but reducing exposure to the world events and interchanging activities can reduce the level of stress.
