Some people think that in the modern world we are more dependent on each other, while others think that people have become more independent. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In
this
modern era, some people say that we have become more independent than in the past, while others believe that we have become more self-reliant. In my point of view, individuals have become less independent because of the technologies and appliances that we have. Advocates who believe that we are more dependent nowadays, base their idea to the fact that people are still relying on other's products. One cannot solely produce everything that he needs to live in
this
world, so he must rely to his neighbour.
For example
, office workers are buying fruits and vegetable from the farmers and the money being paid is being used by farmers to buy his necessities.
This
phenomenon is
also
evident in business establishments wherein costumers and entrepreneurs must rely on each other. Despite the statement above, I believe that mankind has become more self-reliant than before. Because of the technology that we have today we have become less dependent on each other. In the past, if we do not know how to do things we call the help of others, but nowadays we get information on the internet on how
to do
Suggestion
doing
it.
For instance
, before we use to hire cooks during occasions, but nowadays we are doing the cooking by ourselves through do it yourself tutorials from YouTube website.
Moreover
, in the past, we relied on our family members or helpers a lot in doing household chores, but today we are using appliances like washing machine, rice cooker and other domestic appliances which made us less dependent to them. In conclusion, though people need other's product and must rely to each other, I believe that because of the information that the internet is providing and the modern appliances that we have today, people have become more independent than in the past.
