. Some people believe that they are no use in the contemporary era, while others argue that they should be preserved. In the following essay, I intend to discuss both the sides of the arguments and put my personal perception.

While I accept that punishments can sometimes have positive effects on children and therefore should be applied, I believe that parents and teachers should choose proper ways to punish their children.
