Some people say that the government should put money in the Arts, such as music, opera and paintings. Other people think money should be spent on construction of public facilities instead. What is your opinion.

It is considered by a few that the
government
should spend money on promoting arts like music and paintings, while others contradict and argue that
this
money should rather be spent on the welfare projects. In my opinion, the authorities should fund those projects that are of public interest. It is admitted that artistic work plays a vital role in keeping the culture of a nation alive and
hence
mandates
government
's sponsorship.
However
, the construction of welfare projects takes a lead over these Art works and require
government
's spending on the priority basis.
In other words
, providing citizens with the basic necessities like safe drinking water and food to survive is perhaps more important that promoting the artistic masterpieces. It is because people can survive without enjoying music and paintings, but it is hard to live without food even for the few days.
Thus
the prejudice must go to the basic facilities than the arts.
Moreover
, developing health infrastructure in a country is presumably more rewarding that arranging the opera theatre. It is because the people who feel boredom or want to spend a quality leisure time may entertain themselves by some other means, but the sick and physically broken people have no elsewhere to go, except seeking the medical care.
Thus sponsoring
Accept comma addition
Thus, sponsoring
the medical treatments and free medications are, the more important aspects that should receive the
government
's funding and attention than the arts. To conclude, It is beyond any doubt that the arts are important.
However
, I believe that building the welfare projects like basic necessities of the life and free medical services are far more important to spend on.
