Some people think the governments should increase the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles in order to solve environmental problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The growing world of automobile industry has created several environmental issues, and
thus
, raised the concerns to hike the fuel prices to combat these problems. In my own perspective, I disagree with
this
notion of the rise in the petrol or diesel cost. On the one hand, there is no significant improvement seen in the air quality index from the past strategy of hiking the petrol prices. In fact, raising its costs will put the financial burden on the community, and along with that, it will
also
increase the price of other essential commodities
such
as transportation, and food items.
Thus
, it makes the life of especially poor and middle income families more difficult.
However
, the other expenditure can be increased in the form of insurance policy, service and maintenance charges, and paid parking spots to limit the number of cars on the highways and roads.
On the other hand
, the government should launch some reforms to decrease the emission of carbon footprints and air pollution levels.
For instance
, the use of the renewable energy resources
such
as solar, wind and tide should be promoted
instead
of non renewable products
such
as coal and petrol.
Additionally
, the public transportation through trains and buses should be made highly accessible with the frequent timings, issuing the cheaper monthly passes, and the economical ticket prices.
Moreover
, the use of bicycles for a shorter distance within the cities should be encouraged by making different rider tracks and free parking facilities. To recapitulate, I opine that inflating the fuel prices does not make
such significant effect on
Suggestion
such a significant effect on
the improvement of air pollution. It requires more sincere efforts in the form of using the biodegradable products, convenient public transportation system, and the bicycles.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
