In the last 20 years there have been significant developments in the field of information technology(IT), for example the World Wide Web and communication by email. However, future developments in IT are likely to have more negative effects than positive. To what extent do you agree with this view?

In the
last
two decades, there have been remarkable advancements with regard to the
information
technology
such
as the internet and email.
However
, whether IT in the future will brings more disadvantages or not is a question of much contention. Personally, I concur that
such
development has more advantages because
firstly
,
World
Wide Web helps us to receive
information
rapidly and
secondly
, it helps us to save a considerable amount of time. One of the reasons why the internet is indispensable in our modern lives is because we are able to learn facts or news around us faster. In the past, we can only gain new insights from books or newspapers,
however
,
Accept space
,
however
,
such
methods are obsolete as
world
wide web facilitates the dissemination of
information
and news across the globe
hence
we are aware of these in a short period of time. To exemplify, the outbreak of Corona Virus is announced to the
world
shortly after it happened and
this
allowed us to be updated quickly and do all the necessary preparation to prevent ourselves from contracting the virus. Yet another reason is that in the industrialized
world
, our communication is made easy and takes up less time when we are contacting people from afar. With a touch of a button, we are able to connect to whoever we want to.
For instance
, in the contemporary
world
, people use Skype or Zoom to video call their kith and Kim. In a work context, they can email their colleague and boss,
instead
of meeting them in person to convey the message. In conclusion,
such
advancement has more merits than downsides because without the aid of
World
Wide Web, we are not able to receive the most up to date news, which can be a life and death matter, in the fastest way and able to deliver
information
and messages without consuming much duration
