It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behaviour to children?

Some people believe that punishment should be imposed on children to help them identify their mistakes. While I accept that
this
is extremely favourable and should be applied, I think that parents and teachers have to choose the right methods to educate their children. In my view, punishment can change children’s awareness about the problems. Some behaviour
such
as telling a lie or disrespect, immediate punishments play a key role for children to realize their faults and get rid of bad attitudes.Parents could give their children warnings or analyse them to understand If they are stubborn and secure their opinion.
For instance
, when I skipped my school year ago,
instead
of heaping insults on me
,
Accept space
,
my father asked to travel to school by bus rather than ride motorbike.
This
action leads me to know that playing truant is not good for me and It
also
boosts my awareness about learning.
However
, parents and teachers should have a good view about educating good behaviour for the immature.Violence should be stopped and banned because children who are punished may become depressed, shyness, resentful,… In modern society, there is a wide range of ways to bring up one’s children.
Firstly
, parents should calm down to solve every problem with children and give them good advises. They
also
regulate children’s playing-time or reduce the allowance to avoid wasting too much money.
Secondly
, teachers,
similarly
,
instead
of exposing to ridicule student’s mistakes or low marks, they should cooperate with parents to educate and manage children. In conclusion, punishment is important to help children how to distinguish right from wrong, but It has to use effectively without violence.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
