Some people advocate the death penalty for those who committed violent crimes. Others say that capital punishment is unacceptable in contemporary society. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of the death penalty and give your opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

While some people believe that capital punishment is the solution to
third
-degree crime, others claim that it is not acceptable in
this
modern nation. Even though the death penalty offers a crime-free community and hinders other citizens from committing violence, in my opinion, it is unfair as every human being should be given the
second
chance to realise their mistakes. A society becomes free of corruption when capital punishment is the result of criminal violence.
This
is because every individual hesitates to commit even petty crimes due to the detrimental consequences. In Arab countries,
for example
, rapists are slaughtered on the road in front of the common people just to make people aware of their behaviour towards women.
As a result
, Arabians respect, every woman in their country.
However
, wrongly punishing innocent people would spoil their entire life. The investigation should be carried out fairly as some corrupted officials make false allegations

Suggestion
of
innocent people to save the criminal.
For instance
, In India, the High Court wrongly executed the death penalty to a young engineer as the evidence was made up against him by the police to close the case. In my opinion, capital punishment is not a solution for a criminal committing severe crime. Sentencing them to prison and offering rehabilitation would be the best way to make them realise their fault. Rehabilitation programs in prison teach prisoners the moral values and the good traits which on leaving the jail would be useful to reintegrate with
community

the community
. In conclusion, providing a
second
chance for criminals to rectify their mistakes would be the best way to reshape their lives despite the various advantages it offers to society.
