In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

There is no country in
this
world
which is untouched by the phenomenon of online reading. Some people think that in the future people will buy printed newspapers because of the health issues and inconvenience associated with internet reading. I firmly believe that online reading undoubtedly will replace our traditional way of reading in the coming years. A quick perusal of
this
issue at hand would throw up a surfeit of fundamental reasons supporting some people's perspective that older generations have much difficulty in online reading. Aged people have some limitations to use the latest technologies like computers and smartphones.
Hence
, they prefer to read printed newspapers, magazines and books rather than using internet tabloids. The proponents of
this
view
also
feel that on-screen reading may cause some health issues, including eye disorder. So they believe that it is always better to read printed newspapers and books to become healthy.
However
, the popularity of online reading is ever increasing around the globe than in the past. Recent studies indicate that
this
trend is only likely to accentuate in the coming decades considering the ground realities of the modern
world
.
Firstly
, both teenagers and adult people around the
world
are very much interested in online reading because of their convenience and portability. They can read their favourite newspapers, books and articles on the go by using smartphones
,
Accept space
,
iPad and Kindle.
Secondly
, nowadays, most of the news publishers and magazines have their applications and websites
to
Suggestion
for
their readers. To give an ideal example, the newspapers like The Guardian and The Hindu have their online reading applications, and it provides notifications and breaking news to their subscribers all parts of the
world
.
Finally
, in today's
world
, most of the online newspapers and magazines are free of cost to the public. So it is easy for a person to subscribe and read some newspapers at a time. To conclude, while it can be argued that too much emphasis is placed on the traditional way of reading newspapers and books, my own opinion is that in the future people will prefer more on online reading resources than printed materials.
