Smacking children is the best form of discipline. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Children often misbehave and when they do so many parents smack them to teach them a 'lesson'. To inculcate disciplinary values in children necessary actions should be taken and physical punishment is the very
first
thought that comes in the minds of many parents, but I totally disagree and my reasons will be explained in
this
essay. There are many reasons why parents feel that smacking is the best form of discipline. To embark on, they are under an impression that children will understand the difference between good and bad behaviour if they are treated strictly and best mode is physical punishment. Whenever they do something wrong, smacking will restrict them of repeating it. Few of parents

Of course, not.Having said that, it is important to discipline children and parents can do that by spending quality time and setting examples in front of their children. If they get indulged in some wrong activity, counselling is the best way to make them understand by respecting their emotions. To conclude, children are our future and should be raised with at most care, love and patience. Good parenting and Smacking can not co - exist. Smacking traumatise children and may even lead to more adverse impacts on the growth of children.
