In many societies in the world, the population is ageing rapidly and this is leading to an unsustainable increase in the cost of public healthcare. A nation’s population should pay for their healthcare provision in the future. To what extend do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

Owing to the dramatic increase in the average of life expectancy in many parts of the world, it has put a lot strain on public finances which is spent on medical management. It has been argued whether the community ought to pay for
health
insurance on their own.
Although
I tend to agree with
this
statement, I strongly believe that there are both benefits and drawbacks of
this
tendency. There is no doubt that
health
insurance is a perfect way to support people in terms of
money
when they are ill. At a young age, people can save
money
for insurance, later,
this
can provide huge benefits as it helps people to pay for a big amount of the total expenses
on
Suggestion
for
health
care.
Nevertheless
, if residents do not prepare for any cases soon, there will be a lot of pressure on them to spend a big amount of
money
on medical
treatment
, which seems nearly impossible at that point of time due to the fact that they cannot go to work leading to no incomes to pay for
health
care.
On the other hand
, the government still holds an essential role of providing sufficient medical
treatment
, especially to the elderly who do not have the ability to make
money
because of retirements. They need to be treated freely as it is a basic human right.
Consequently
, the elderly can have
treatment
without any worries of the affordability of medical care. Another point of
this
is that without the government’s support, the public
health
might be affected severely by spread diseases. An example of
this
is Vietnam in Covid-19. Every patient, especially who cannot afford
such
expensive
treatment
, was cured equally. And now, when the whole world is still facing the virus, Vietnam controlled it completely and the community is no more affected by the diseases. To sum up, the government needs to maintain the funds to help patients with financial problems when they get sick.
However
, it is necessary for the nation’s population to pay for their
health
provision on their own.
