Maintaining public libraries is a waste of money since computer technology is now replacing their functions. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In
this
modern era of technology, computers are being progressively well known. Currently, many people believe that allocating money on traditional libraries is pretty useless since computers can fulfil their functions. While reading through the computers is more interesting and time saving, I believe that public libraries should remain as an important part of our society. On the one hand, current development of computer science has realized a huge number of beneficial impacts to our lives.
Firstly
, nowadays many people are reading e books and watching online documentary videos
instead
of reading printed books in the libraries, which is comparatively boring.
Secondly
, online libraries are more comfortable. Users can obtain any kind of

and they don't have to spend time on the road to a library.
Finally
, as nowadays demand for online libraries rose significantly due to the pandemics, their book sources grew larger and the level of sophistication of searching features increased exponentially.
On the other hand
, while the Web has a great amount of
information
freely available, it does not have all the
information
needed for in-depth research. There is a great amount of
information
available through the library
that is
not freely available online. These resources give students access to the materials they need for class study and independent research.
Additionally
, traditional libraries help people feel the academic atmosphere. The ambience and the peaceful atmosphere of the library helps them to concentrate more on their work or studies.
Moreover
, individuals can make new friends who may be helpful in their current studies by exchanging their learning experience and helping in search for the books related to that subject. In conclusion, people believe that maintaining libraries

unwise decision due to the modern technological methods.
Therefore
, it is clear that the idea of replacing traditional libraries completely by the computers cannot be supported as libraries provide their users with important resources for many areas of study.
