Some universities now offer their course on the internet so that people can study online. Is this a positive or negative development?

It is claimed that internet-based learning is becoming increasingly popular in many universities. From my perspective, while there are several drawbacks to

trend, it is overall a desirable development. There are some disadvantages to the trend that online courses are being offered to people by universities. For one, there will be less direct interaction between students and others
such

as their peers or their teachers, which is normally seen in traditional courses.
In other words

, by staying in front of computers, students may have no chance to discuss their subjects with other students and be provided direct support from their professors.
Therefore

, online learners are likely to lack some basic skills

as teamwork that face-to-face group brings. Another drawback is that computers are expensive to maintain. To provide adequate and convenient courses for numerous users, universities must have a good

be recognised that internet-based education facilitates leaners to studying whenever and wherever they want.
For example

In addition

In conclusion, while it is true that there are some drawbacks of online university courses, it is my belief that it is overall a positive development.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
