A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by people and that they should have the same rights as human, while others argue that humans must employ animals to satisfy their serious needs, including used for food research. Discuss both view and give your opinion.

There has been an increase in the number of people supporting animals’ rights, while some people believe that they should be exploited for
human’s

needs.
Although
each point of view has its merits. I would agree with the former.
To begin
with, these are three main reasons why animals deserve being given rights.
First
, rights are not granted to beings that uphold civic duties and contribute to the society. To illustrate, the disable, the elderly and the young are given certain privileges by justice,
although
they hardly devote much

of
the state or community.
Similarly
, animals without contributions should not be excluded from having rights, and
thus
must be protected from exploitation.
Second
, animals, especially advanced species, share the same complex nervous systems with us, so they can have emotions. Monkeys and apes,
for example
, suffer from severe pain and fear when they are attacked by guns or arrows. It is morally wrong to hurt them, and
such
cruelty should be prevented by animals’ rights. More importantly, in the light of modernization and civilization, those are alternatives to satisfy human demands. Different sources of food are available, and research can be conducted using computer simulation or animals’ tissue and cells. There is no need for animal experimentation and exploitation for human interest. It is undeniable that animals are useful as a food source and research subjects. For centuries, they have offered us a great deal of supply for our survival,
such
as meat, eggs and milk.
Moreover
, there are many scientific breakthroughs thanks to the help of guinea pigs, rabbits, cons and dogs, etc.
However
,
these
denotes a person or thing
this
also
mean that millions of animals die each year and a host of them are on the verge of extinction. Humans ourselves are the culprit for their deaths and sufferings, whereas they do nothing that harms us. It is time that they were given equality and protection. In conclusion, I would contend that animals should be granted rights
instead
of being used for human needs
such
as food and studies.
