Some people say that government should spend more money taking care of elderly people while others think that government spending should be spent more on the education of young people. Discuss both views and give opinion

It is true that
government
spending on taking care of old people is a subject of debate. While some people believe that caring for the elderly is significant, I would argue that investing money on
education
for young citizens is of greater importance. It is mainly because of the
government
’s moral responsibility that the national budgets should be spent more on senior citizens. These days, many elderly people live in appalling conditions and even under subsistence level. They lack the means to support themselves without good homes and lack of access to medical care. Apart from that, it is lack of skills that discourages the old from seeking employment. They eventually end up depending entirely on the
government
subsidies.
Therefore

government
spending on young people‘s
education
is of greater importance. The main reason is that investing in the
education
of the young is analogous to investing in the future. With the educational investment, the young
also
have chances to access to qualified learning environment and hone their skills.
Therefore
, they can easily find a livelihood and eventually form the backbone of the future workforce. Take Germany as an example. It is the early investment

government
should invest money in current generation rather than focusing on the old. It is
therefore
important that the
education
of the young holds the key to the development of a country.
