Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other measures do you think might be effective?

Wide range of growth in
traffic
and
pollution
now being the central concern of every metro politician cities. People often consider that the increase in petrol pricing will solve
this
harsh situation.
However
,
this
is not an effective way of controlling
pollution
problems. There are some other ways like increase in car-sharing or good
traffic
rules through which
traffic
problems can solve. A few observation often consider that the urbanization of people creates a devastating effect on
traffic
and
pollution
issues. Millions of people are travelling every day because of their personal and professional work, which heightened the concentration of carbon regularly. By considering
this
option, authorities should begin the new rule of carpooling and aware of the people with
this
system. Nowadays there are many apps like quick ride which help people to know about the person who is travelling through the same route and help them to drop nearby. If more people will use
this
system,
then
the need for individual car reduced.
Also
, they can apply the odd-even rule on private cars like in Delhi, the chief minister started
this
rule for a few weeks, and it shows the excellent improvement in environment condition.
Moreover
, the government should apply the strict laws on
traffic
rules; there are plenty of people who know the rules but do not follow them because of
this
traffic
jams are increasing rapidly.
For example
, in India, people did not follow the
traffic
light rules, even after seen the red light, they did not stop and create a hassle on the road.
However
, enhancing the petrol prices is not the solution to these issues as many workers travel for their jobs, they can not afford these high prices, which affect their basic needs.
Instead
, authorities should encourage the people for using environmentally friendly vehicles like CNG vehicles.
Additionally
, controlling the
traffic
issue could not only diminish the increase in
pollution
. People have to stop the cutting of unnecessarily and grow new plants.
Also
, building the eco- friendly cities using solar power or hydro-power.
Traffic
and
Pollution
problems lead to several difficulties for cities to resolve, but smart planning along with implementing out of the box solutions could alleviate the pain associated with
this
growth.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
