Some people are of the opinion that there should be a car-free day once every month, on which no private vehicles are allowed on the road. Discuss the advantages and possible disadvantages.

Car-free day, once a month is supported by some groups of people and
this
law,
this
rule would prohibit private vehicles to drive on the road. These decisions would encourage many pros and cons,
such
as reduction of global warming and enable families to spend quality time,
however
, at the same time it might ingrain the feeling of being trapped and cause immense inconveniences to the public. Vehicles have been causing immense amounts of air pollution and the emission of harmful gases.
This
day would contribute to decreasing the carbon release in the environment and make an impact in the long run.
This
would
also
encourage being at home and engaging with family as well as bring the feeling of nurturing in the houses. People get an opportunity to rejuvenate with their loved ones and build rituals with them.
For instance
- The National capital of India named Delhi had adopted a similar approach for healthy air to reduce air pollution. Family bonding and healthy surroundings have become prerequisites for a happier life.
Although
a better environment and family time would eventually enable inconveniences and trouble to the people travelling. For travellers who are on the road trip or flying to different places would have to re-schedule and plan everything
accordingly
, which would increase their hassles and cause frustration among the people.
Such
a guideline would cause the feeling of being caged and the frequency of every month would lead to discomfort. The whole population has to plan all their mundane activities and basic needs as an obligation to follow the regulation.
For example
- It is observed these rules are largely debatable and criticized by the general public for the government party who declares it.
However
, we all know that every action has an opposite reaction, so a car-free day might have advantages for the environment and family but
also
lead to disadvantages for the people living in the country or create problems for the citizens in their regular life.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
