Memorising facts is the most important way to succeed in education.To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

A school of thought suggests that rote learning is the most prominent way to clear the exam successfully. I,

, believe that there are many other ways to get success in education rather than memorising facts. More often than not many students do memorise learning to clear the exam with good marks in a short time.
Moreover
, there are some subjects, like history, medical, economics and many more, in which we need to byheart the facts to achieve desire score in test because we could not change the facts.

, in history, we could not change the date and place of the war or evolvement of civilization

 we could not change the name of any part of the body.

To cite an example, In language students are required to understand the grammar only once but they need to do continuous practice and apply the composition to recognize the usage of it and once they get to know, they would score up to the mark as well as they can use it in communication very easily. To conclude, according to me, it is legitimate to memorise facts in some subject but detail understanding and its realtime usage are

 essential to get triumph in education.
