Some parents believe that formal examinations are the only effective way to assess a student’s performance while continual assessment such as course work and projects is not a satisfactory way to do this. Do you agree that formal examinations should be regarded as the only effective form of assessment?

Education is a very important aspect of a child's life. He or she is supposed to get educated in accordance to lead a successful life. Different institutions choose several ways for testing the capabilities of an educatee, these can be through exams or continuous assignment and project work.while some parents give preference to formal examinations , I completely disagree with

. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will give my views on the topic discussed above.

Firstly

, each child has his own way of learning and understanding the stuff taught to him. As exams have a format of covering a large amount of the curriculum, it does not make any sense to judge a boy by his capacity to deliver in the test what he learnt in

On the contrary

, letting the children learn new things every single day through the project work and assigned tasks help them to grab the knowledge more precisely.

is because they are not exposed to a whole lot of syllabus to learn at a single time. Moving

, by letting juveniles learn and educate themselves by the daily assignments and tasks help them and let them learn and improve from their previous mistakes. Giving them the chance to still enjoy their studies rather than freaking out on the one exam they did not perform well in as in the case of the scheduled examinations. Before putting my pen down, I would like to state that parents should understand the benefits of the assignment and project work given to children on daily basis and rather than forcing to study through exams, should support the latter.
