A lot of budgets is allocated to upgrade and maintain the
road
service due to the rapid rise in the usage of cars. While, few think that the
government
is liable to spend on
road
development, others believe that car owners must responsible to pay for these facilities. In my opinion, the

should make sure they develop proper
road
structure for people to travel and maintain
road
safety measures to avoid any accidents.

Thus
, the budget should be allocated for improving roadworks as they are part of infrastructural development which is funded by the
government
.
However
, some
road
project required large investments that the
government
cannot afford.
As a result
, the
government
takes a loan from foreign investors or banks and after the roadwork is completed, the loan amount is collected from people in form of toll tariff.
For instance
, Mumbai’s Municipal corporation, constructed Sea Link to shorten the travelling time and distance, but as
this
project incurred huge expenses, people using
this
facility have to pay 50 rupees per trip.
Hence
, to establish effective roads that involve high cost, people must contribute their share. In my view, with collective planning and enough budget received from

can handle the responsibility to improve

service.
In addition
, they can impose strict penalties for breaking rules or damaging the property to recover losses. In conclusion, the citizen’s tax should be used to upgrade the quality of roads.
This
can only be done by the
government
as they have expertise skills and monetary support for service delivery.
