Should museums and art galleries be free of charge for the general public, or should a charge, even a voluntary charge, be levied for admittance?

In
this
present era, while many museums and
art
galleries demand entrance fee, there are many sites of the same kind for free.
However
, the
art
establishments seek income to run their facilities of which expenses are provided by the visitors and the sponsors.
On the other hand
, a large number of citizens are not able to spend their funds on cultural activities. I, personally believe that there should be a charge for admittance.
To begin
with, the museums and the galleries require funds to save their existence. Protection of the artworks is overpriced and the money is only granted by the sponsorships, the government funds and the visitors.
Thus
, many cultural associations suffer from

ack of sponsorship. They barely find a supporter to survive.
Hence
, the harsh conditions force them to demand funds from the general public as the entrance fee.
On the other hand
, it is commonly said that
art
is for the society that, the authority must provide it to the general public for free. The cultural activities contribute to the development of an individual so everyone calls for them.
Furthermore
, supporting galleries and museums are the duty of the governments which have to dedicate a specific budget for them.
Thus
, the politicians insist on private companies and the associations to donate for the sake of social responsibility projects. In
this
case, the
art
establishments can be afloat by way of the charities.
For instance
, in Turkey, many banks run their own
art
galleries which are accessible to the public without any charge. In
this
way, Turkish people have the opportunity for attending cultural events and seeing exhibitions. To conclude,
although
society needs
art
, museums and galleries require the fund to maintain their performances. In
such
wise, finding capital is extremely hard given the fact that it can only be granted through the tickets. I have a vehement view that the artistic corporations have to offer resources from the visitors.
