Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

In today’s global village, communication with other nations and cultures is inexorable. To
this
end, some researchers suggested that other languages should be learned in the lower grades of educational schemes rather than postpone it to the higher levels. I share
this
opinion as I believe its positive points can offset its possible negative sides. Learning foreign languages at earlier ages can have several benefits.
First
and foremost, with
students
starting their
language
studies at elementary
school
, the learning process can be significantly boosted, thanks to the higher ability of the brain to absorb new vocabularies and grammatical lessons.
This
is something that
also
has been proven by several studies on our brain activity, which demonstrated far more activity and potential of human brains in primary schools’ ages. Another advantage of commencing the
language
learning process at elementary schools is that rapid progress of
students
in learning can bring them a higher sense of confidence toward themselves. With more confidence in yourself, better performance in other aspects of life comes. On the other side of the argument, learning a new
language
can overwhelm children with too many course materials to learn and pressurize them to avoid other healthy activity they might need at their age. In
this
way,
students
might have less pastime due to the heavy loads of homework to practice new lessons learned at
school
. In brief, learning new languages is an undeniably essential skill which should be provided to
students
at
school
. Starting
this
process at primary schools can bring faster progress of grasping new ideas as well as a sense of more self-esteem to
students
, while it might simultaneously create some pressure on
students
shoulders with more homework and study hours. In my opinion, with a carefully evaluated study program for
students
, positive points of learning a foreign
language
at elementary
school
can offset its adverse effects.
