true that perseverance can bring success to the mediocre as well. On one hand, many who excel in their fields are born with
talents
. Mozart,

, is regarded as a musical prodigy who composed many masterpieces at the age of as young as fourteen. When Mozart was still a child, it was believed that he could already distinguish the tonalities of different compositions. As

, it is not surprising that many artists and sportsmen are gifted to achieve what the talentless are incapable of doing.

create renowned artistic and athletic professionals. One well-known anecdote is about how Vincent Da

just started learning painting, he did not demonstrate any signs of

had to practice drawing eggs every day. Yet due to his perseverance, Da

can make one successful faster and earlier in his or her life, but it is hard works that allow most of us to accomplish what we want in our lives. Perseverance is

essential for the gifted to maintain their status quo or improve in the long run,
