The world is experiencing a dramatic increase in population. This is causing problems not only for poor, undeveloped countries, but also for industrialized and developing nations. Describe some of the problems that overpopulation causes, and suggestion least one possible solution.
The
population
has been increasing widely on a global scale. It carries various problems
not only for third
-world nations but also
for developed countries—the issues such
as lack of job
opportunities and public infrastructure
deficiency accustomed to overpopulation. Nevertheless
, the problems
have extended all over the world; the government
has to play an essential role to eradicate them from the roots.
To begin
with, job
opportunities have reduced in the market because of overcrowding. By saying so, I mean that, with the increase in population
, the graduates and skilled workforces are increasing every day, but the companies' demand has remained constant from the last
few years, leading to lack of job
offers in the workplaces. Eventually, the predicament of metropolitan areas
is more worst, as the jobs
are less in regional regions, a gaggle of people have migrated to urban areas
to look for the jobs
. As a result
, the established and developed public infrastructure
of cities has become deficient apparently to meet the needs of the ordinary residents. For example
, Mumbai, the financial capital of India, is the home of 1.2 million homeless people who came to the city for their better future. However
, job
's inadequacy and inefficient infrastructure
have made them stay in the slums.
Challenging though the problems
are, there is something that can be done to mitigate them. The government
should form a well-developed, detailed and thorough industrial program, for instance
, Mahatma Gandhi regional workforce initiative, to provide subsidies to industries to open their business in the countryside. In this
way, people will find jobs
in the rural areas
, and they would not have to move towards the urban regimes, as a result
, the population
in the developed areas
will remain under control. Apart from this
, the government
should launch an awareness educational project to provide knowledge about the problems
associated with overpopulation and delineates the public in regards to birth control methods.
By way of conclusion, I again reaffirm that the problems
like lack of jobs
in the market and public infrastructure
to meet the requirements of the population
are raising an alarm bell globally, but with the government
programs and initiatives, these issues can be resolved.Submitted by kanikarora13 on
