Most people do not care enough about environmental issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is an undeniable fact that
people
are not taking the issue of environmental change seriously.
Although
there are many individuals who have the insight to mitigate the problem, still there are a large number of folks who are not paying much attention to
this
problem. In
this
essay, I will discuss why I believe that
people
do not
care
much about the atmosphere. Undoubtedly, there are a reasonable amount of
people
who
care
about their surroundings.
People
who are giving more preference to healthy materials.
For instance
, one of the issues the environment suffering from is deforestation in order to manufacture papers, but the public nowadays,
instead
of using paper, are preferring e-books, iPads, and quintessential technology that will, definitely, have a role in cleaning the environment.
Nevertheless
,
people
who do not
care
about the environment, unfortunately, outweigh those who
care
. The
first
recognised behaviour of
people
’s ignorance is that they tend to choose their comfort over the climate. An example of
this
is car usage. To be precise more,
instead
of using the carpooling method or travel in public transit, even it is cheaper than their own car, they still like to use their cars in order to go to their work or to any destination.
Hence
, streets around the world, especially in urban areas, turning into

huge traffic jam that will
further
lead to global warming.
Furthermore
, another reason for
people
’s ignorance towards environmental change is that they ignore its affection on the earth. Plastic,
for example
, has a tremendous impact on our planet and despite
people
’s knowledge of
this
and that it takes hundreds of years to decompose, they continue to consume it in enormous quantities every day. In conclusion, despite the fact that
people
are worried about the atmosphere, there are some
people
who do not
care
about it. So, the climate cannot be a witness to the turnover, until
people
wake up and do something about it.
