Some education systems make students focus on certain subjects at the age of 15, while others require students to study a wide range of subjects until they leave school. What are the benefits of each system? Which is better?

Issues related to the choice of subject in school by teenagers are frequently being discussed these days. Growing concerns are becoming heated questions among the people that whether education system should focus on a certain or wide variety of
subjects
for a pupil at the age of 15. Both the views have their logic to support their opinion which will be discussed in
this
dissertation before coming to any conclusion. As far as the matter is concerned, about the view that children after a certain age should be asked to concentrate on few
subjects
of interest as it has a remarkable impact on the overall result of the
students
. The
first
and foremost point that strikes my mind is that, since the time education system has introduced the three different fields for the
students
to choose after grade 10 , it has helped pupils to set goals which will help them to reach their future destination easily. Another noteworthy notion that caters for attention is that
this
setup helps them to gain vast knowledge and attain perfection in their own fields. An explanation to
this
can be given by an example of a survey conducted by The Hindustan Times in 2019 which showed that 82 per cent of the
students
were more knee to learn specific
subjects
rather than just gaining knowledge of few
subjects
which will not help them to understand the depth of any subject studied. As every matter has two aspects, another aspect of
this
matter deals with its opposite side. Some educationalists are in the favour of teaching
students
a vast variety of
subjects
.
This
has its own benefits ,as studying a different range of topics will expand their horizon and they will have an ample amount of fields to choose from after graduating from school. Not only
this
,

but,

it will
also
boost their level of confidence as they will gain knowledge of all the
subjects
rather than mastering a few. After cogitating on a great deal of thought and discussion the conclusion to be drawn here is that everything has its own significant value. But teaching
students
certain
subjects
will help them to focus on what interests them the most
instead
of becoming a jack of all

but master of none.
Therefore
, what is required is to have a positive attitude and optimistic approach towards the betterment of
students
