Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals.Others say that there are more important enviromental problem

Extinction of species is the most horrendous crime
humanity
is responsible for, and future generations will hold us responsible for it. Since the dawn of Homo Sapiens, or since when we got the ability to think much better than all the other
animals
, and since no animal could threaten
humanity
,
humans
have started to think of themselves as the owners of the planet.
Moreover
,
consequently
, the human started to think that it owned all flora and fauna too. Since industrialisation,
humanity
has cut down trillions of hectares of forest for industries
such
as paper, furniture, industrial products, and more
such
industries. The rate of deforestation far supersedes the rate of forestation, and
consequently
, the amount of land covered by forests has exponentially decreased over the past 200 years.
This
decrement of the forest area has
also
led to increased greenhouse gases, hiked land rates, overpopulation, loss of quality of life of indigenous people, and many other unlikeable things.
However
, the true torment of
humanity
comes via its treatment of
animals
. Especially the
animals
which hone some unique physical properties which
humans
think has value, like the tusks of elephants and walruses, or the fur of many fur-bearing
animals
like bears, wolves, seals etc. Hunting for the game has led to the extinction of many species by
humans
, like mammoths, dodos, sea-cows, and a lot more. Global warming results from multiple sources, i.e. cutting down trees that convert greenhouse gases to oxygen and the global usage of fuels that emit greenhouse gases after combustion.
However
,
this
is not the whole extent of deterioration caused by the hands of
humans
;
humans
, by cutting trees, have induced global warming, which increases sea level, disrupts climate and wind patterns, and
this
, in turn, causes many endemic species to go extinct.
Also
, due to overpopulation and sewage dumping into oceans, the ocean floor is lined with non-biodegradable plastic, which harms marine life in extensive ways.
This
is how the various environmental problems caused by
humans
affect flora, fauna and, most importantly, our home planet.
