Some people claim that public museums and art galleries will not be needed because people can see historical objects and works of art by using a computer. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Some individuals believe that public
museums
and
art
galleries
will cease to exist in the future
as a result
of the rapid development of digital technology. I completely disagree with
this
notion. On the one hand, I cannot deny the convenience of modern technology that provides
people
with unlimited access to information. The public has the possibility of viewing any famous work of
art
or artefact from any period in human history with just a click of a mouse, without having to leave the comfort of their beds. Through the advent of the internet, some
museums
have adapted by offering online tours of their collections, with special features like virtual reality, and
people
seem really intrigued by the concept, especially now that the world is ill with the pandemic and everyone is stuck at home. It is possible to enjoy
art
and culture without harming yourself or the community.
On the other hand
, online information and virtual
museums
are unable to replace the experience of sitting in front of a hundred years worth of
art
and enjoying the appropriate value of historic objects. Some enjoy the sensation of wandering through a museum, immersing themselves in nature and history, and letting their worries go.
Although
the pandemic has restricted
people
's ability to visit those facilities, there is a large number of
people
who are eager to visit them once the quarantine has ended. In a recent survey conducted by Artnet News, approximately 60% of
people
stated that they expect to continue attending
museums
and
art
galleries
once they have reopened.
In addition
,
museums
and
art
galleries
provide employment for local residents and contribute significantly to the local economy. Despite the positive effects of the online presentation of historical objects and artworks on society, they cannot replace
art
galleries
and
museums
.
