Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. *Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.*

Extinction is
one
of the many environmental problems that humanity is facing nowadays and, while some people argue that the loss of species of plants and
animals
is the biggest issue we must attend immediately, others claim that there are more important circumstances we must solve before.
This
essay will discuss both views and will explain how caring about other environmental situations can be the solution to the decrease in the number of species disappearing without resting importance

this
important matter.
First
and foremost, we cannot deny that the vanish of some
animals
is an important matter, if we lose
one
single animal family that could lead to an important disruption in the food chain.
For example
, if the Bengal tiger gets extinct, their prey like deers or langurs will prevail and overpopulate a certain area, in consequence, the plants that those
animals
eat will cease from existence which means other significant changes in the environment.
Furthermore
, illegal hunting is out of control in several countries, people hunt and export without caring about the direct consequences in the environment. The importance of the topic speaks for itself but, it is the really most important issue to attend? The devastation of forests, the pollution of the ocean with human garbage, and the contamination of the air with greenhouse gases are
also
causes of extinction. While illegal hunting of sharks is more dangerous than plastic bags in the ocean, unregulated logging is
one
of the main causes that several monkeys, chimpanzees, and birds are ceasing from existence. If we tackle those matters, those
animals
will recover their habitat. It is my firm opinion that there are too many problems to take into consideration if we want to diminish the impact of global warming and we, as a society, cannot do a lot when the governments are in charge of the legal regulations.
However
, if I have to choose between the importance of cleaning the ocean and reduce the destruction of the biggest forests in the world or saving a single species, I would say that by choosing the
first
, the
second
will fix itself. All things considered, it is the work of everyone to make a change in the world and,
instead
of wasting time selecting which problems are more important than others, we must look at the big picture and start thinking about how those situations correlate so we can handle the
one
on the top.
