The exploration and development of safe alternatives to fossil fuels should be the most important global priority today. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

Fossil
fuels
are made from the decomposition of plants and animals having rich amounts of carbon and hydrogen molecules. As they are non-renewable sources of energy to preserve
such
minerals and use them for the long run we must prioritize to find other suitable options.
Therefore
, I agree that we must find alternatives to fossils
fuels
all around the world so that those options can help us. The most prevalent aspect, in
this
case,
this
case is that the burning of fossil
fuels
causes numerous threats to the environment.
Pollution
is one of them. The combustion of fossil
fuels
releases untreated gases into the air which pollutes the air and causes air
pollution
. Mining to locate fossil
fuels
causes water
pollution
as well.
For instance
, statistical figures show that the extent of
pollution
has been increased beyond the wildest expectations of the experts and if it continues to upsurge like
this
it will cause severe adverse effects to humanity and the planet.
In addition
to
this
, continuous usage of fossil
fuels
will eventually bring them to the verge of extinction.
For example
, oil reserves around the globe are depleting rapidly. So, it's the need of the hour to search for green and safe energy.
On the other hand
, uncontrolled usage of these alternatives can cause disaster. As nuclear power is being produced it comes with a price. It is a cheaper alternative to fossil fuel but if uncontrolled can cause a continuous chain of reactions. All things considered, there are positive and some negative effects of using alternatives but I strongly agree that our primary focus must be research and development of other options rather than fossil fuel.
