You recently ordered a small item online but when it arrived it was unusable. Write a letter to the company that sold you the item. In the letter: give details about the order you made explain what was wrong with the item tell the company what you want them to do about it

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the nail's scissors I just bought online from your company. I am really disappointed with your store since I am a regular customer for over 5 years and I have never had
this
problem before. I deserve to be better treated. Two weeks ago, I was surfing on the internet when I found just the nail's cutter I was looking for: a state-of-the-art brand new silver scissors for
nails
that is
just adaptable for anyone nail's size,
thus
I decided to acquire it.
However
, the minute I returned home and decided to try the product, I noticed it was not working in the way it ought to. I was unable to cut my
nails
because each side of the scissors was not aligned to the other. I felt totally damaged with all
this
situation since I just had
this
item to do my
nails
for a wedding party I went at the same night I bought the product, but as I could not use it, I had to go to the party with my
nails
in a terrible condition, not tidy enough for a marriage party. In
this
way, I would like to receive a brand new one, since the one I had just got is unusable, as well as I intend to receive a gift card with some credit to be spent in your store.
Nonetheless
, If those options are not possible, I am going to ask you to make a deposit of the amount spent in it to my bank account, which data information is attached to
this
letter, as the receipt for the shopping for
this
product. I am expecting your comprehension with all over
this
situation, as I look forward to having a swift solution for
this
matter. Yours faithfully, Anna Fraga

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
