Some people believe that developments in the field of artificial intelligence will have a positive impact on our lives in the near future. Others, by contrast, are worried that we are not prepared for a world in which computers are more intelligent than humans. Discuss both of these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays,
people
have a different view of artificial
intelligence
. Some
people
are concerned that AI would be over smarter, which would have a negative impact on our
lives
. Personally, I strongly disagree with
this
view, and I believe that artificial
intelligence
can lead us to a better future. It is true that the development of robotics and artificial
intelligence
changes
people
's
lives
in many aspects.
Firstly
, with the aid of voice navigation like Siri, Google assistant,
people
can enjoy the services provided by the companies.
For example
, if you're driving to an unfamiliar destination, you just need to call Siri to help you, and in that case, you do not even use your hands.
This
can help to reduce traffic accidents and improve road safety.
In other words
, Intelligent artificial greatly leverages the power of existing technology and facilitates our
lives
to another level.
Secondly
, robotics technology can help to solve the problem of labour shortage. In most developed countries, the shortage of workers has a negative impact on them.
However
, with the help of robots and other advanced technologies, these issues can be solved. Intelligent robots can do monotonous and repetitive works which human workers are usually unwilling to do.
As a result
, it is imperative to bring them into our
lives
to bridge the gap.
Finally
, AI can contribute to human progress in many ways, allowing us to fully enjoy the conveniences of the technologies in many fields, including food, clothing, housing and transportation. Despite all the advantages, the concern about AI is
also
prevalent amongst societies.
On the other hand
, AI can certainly fill the gap of labour shortage;
however
, others believe it will eventually replace human workers in some areas, leading to mass unemployment in our societies.
This
view is completely shortsighted. Every few decades, predictions about the "end of work" pervaded public discourse, and they have always been wrong. There was a spike in automation anxiety in the late 1920s and 1930s when machines started to take over jobs on farms and in factories. Much of the fear that has been recently stoked amongst communities are familiar and totally groundless.
Moreover
, others argue that AI will become ever smarter, which may dominate humanity in the future. I disagree that because no matter how smarter and intelligent they become, we can still figure out how to control them since we're the ones who invent them. Those
people
worried about being replaced by robots might be influenced by some virtual sic-fi movies, and they are being completely unreasonable. In conclusion, I believe the development of artificial
intelligence
will greatly facilitate our activities in many ways.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
