You have recently read an article in the newspaper about someone you know personally. You found that some information is wrong. Write a letter to the editor to inform him about it. In your letter, write: what the article is about what the error is what you expect the editor to do
Respected Sir,
I am writing
this
letter to bring your attention to an article
that was published on December 18,2021 in the sports section titled " 21-year old Cycling prodigy from Chennai" in your newspaper and to point out a few incorrect statements that are affecting the cyclist
's career.
The December 18th edition of your newspaper has an article
on David, a 21-year old cyclist
. The article
describes David's journey into the competitive cycling field and the different achievements he has received over the years. The article
also
shares many pictures of the cyclist
with his cycle. Please find attached the newspaper cut-out for your reference.
As his personal coach, I have a major concern with the information that was published in the column. It wrongfully mentions that he was born in 1994 when actually he was born in 2000. Because of this
article
, the state cycling club is requesting a DNA test to confirm his age. This
is causing major hardship for our team.
We are planning to present to the authorities the required documents and prove that David is in fact 21 years old. To make things easier for us, I would appreciate it if you could write an article
accepting the error and confirming that the cyclist
is in fact is 21 years old. Do write back to us at the earliest. Failure to respond might invite legal action from our end as our pupil's career is at stake.
Yours faithfully,
