The development of tourism has contributed to English becoming the most prominent language in the world. Some people think that this will lead to English becoming the only language to be spoken globally. What are the advantages and disadvantages to having one language in the world?

Nowadays, English has become the most spoken
language
around the world, in part due to the development of tourism. A large portion of individuals holds the opinion that in the future, English will be the only dialect spoken on the planet. In my belief,
this
will have more advantages over disadvantages as I will explain above. Tourism has led English to become the most prevalent
language
in the world, due to the necessity of finding a dialect that everyone can speak and understand all around the globe. One evident benefit of having all communities talking in the same terms is that it will cooperate with the eradication of communicational barriers around the globe. A good illustration of
that is
that people from very distant locations, from Asia to America, will understand each other and can exchange information and knowledge despite where you are born or the dialect you have learned as a child.
Furthermore
,
this
will provide superior educational and personal opportunities for everybody, under these circumstances we will have children in Africa studying with the same linguistic resources as kids in England, providing them better academic and cultural opportunities.
On the other hand
, the are some disadvantages of having limited linguistic resources.
Firstly
, there are still too many urgencies in every country, especially in developing nations, where money must be invested in education, health, infrastructure, and other priorities. I am certain that establishing tourism as the main economic activity and investing money in teaching another
language
will lead to neglect of other primary issues.

this
is proven by the fact that in some countries young generations have forgotten their native dialects due to the influence of other cultures. Taking everything into consideration,
although
there are certain disadvantages, I think that advantages overweigh those. Learning a new
language
will provide every person in the world with better communication skills, more advanced academic and cultural knowledge, despite the logistic and economic difficulties of teaching and the possibility of losing cultural dialects.
