More and more parents are allowing children to play on computers and tablets as they think that children should learn technology skills.
Due to the technological developments, today’s parents tend to allow their
children
to use
technological devices
such
as laptops, tablets, and mobile phones in order to learn skills of technology. In the following paragraphs, both advantages and disadvantages will be discussed.
On the one hand, children
playing on computers and tablets tend to have more technical skills than children
who spend time on other things. This
is because people
in the future are more likely to use
technological devices
to communicate with others than in the past. Therefore
, young people
who usually use
these devices
can be more familiar and learn knowledge from them earlier. Moreover
, children
can use
these technological devices
to find their abilities and their likes by watching and learning positive issues from the Internet.
On the other hand
, consuming too much on technological tools can be drawbacks for young people
. Since their parents cannot control all of the contents posted on the Internet in which some are sensitive and violent for their children
. For this
reason, children
can be seduced and persuaded into the wrong ways. In addition
, young people
can be addicted to playing too much on computers, which can lead to inappropriate behaviour and negative results. For example
, my cousin is addicted to computer games, playing around 8-9 hours a day instead
of reading books; as a result
, he failed in his examination and cannot pass to the next
level of study.
In conclusion, even though there are some positives in technological developments, some negatives can be dangerous and harmful for young people
. Thus
, both father and mother should limit time and control information for their children
on playing on computers.Submitted by unny on
