If someone does bad, they should receive

 in any way.
Jails
 are institutions made by the government to punish criminals, though they have turned out to be bad places, they are still good for
punishment
. In
jails
 there are lots of
programmes
 and activities that can help prisoners to reform,
also
 there are therapy
programmes
 that can help with psychological issues which make people turn away from crime.
However
, places of
punishment
 should not be luxurious to the extent that people will enjoy being in
jails
 than being outside.
Firstly
 I would say because of
programmes
 which are run in places of
punishment
,
for example

programmes
, therapy, healing and many activities which help prisoners with their mental health, lots of money is invested into the institution making prison expensive to maintain, even if it's for the good cause. Those
