You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job. Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter, • describe the problem with the equipment • explain how this problem is affecting your work • say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the laptop that I purchased from your store two weeks ago.
This
is a Dell company computer that comes with one year warranty and I have a receipt. I took all the initiatives on my side but the problem seems to me now unresolvable.
The laptop was working fine on the first
day when I purchased it, but from the second
day, it kept asking me to reboot the system and install the drivers again and again. Now it has been several days and I am honestly tired of updating the drivers along following the instructions to the note as per the website but without this
, I cannot use the major functionality that includes: sound, microphone, camera, etc.
At first
, I thought, it was just a matter of regular system updates and the computer system will work fine in some time but it took a lot of my time and most importantly my work is getting affected by it, as I am unable to attend online meetings and cannot even listen during calls. This
also
makes me absent during the meetings, also
damaging my reputation in the company.
I also
made a call to the company support line and explain the whole situation to ask if I am doing anything wrong and they told me to bring it to the store from where I have purchased it and the store will solve the situation for me. Therefore
, I would like to have this
laptop either fixed immediately or will appreciate a full replacement, as I am aiming to keep this
model but without the existing problems.
I hope you understand the situation and take some measures to solve this
matter for me on an urgent basis. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
