Some feel that cities should be designed to be beautiful while others feel their functionality is more important. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

 is the important element. In my opinion, both the elements are considered to be significant for the betterment of
people
 and its nation. A
city
 is considered well designed, when it has great infrastructure that draws the attention of
people
 amidst themself and
also
 attracts investors from the entire country as well all over the globe.
This
 is only possible if you are surrounded by great
people
. With proper planning and layout, a
city
 can attract and generate income on a global level.
For example
: Bali in Indonesia is considered to be one of the cheapest and top tourist destinations in South East Asia.
Although
, their GDP rate is on a lower side when compared to most developing countries with proper planning and well-built infrastructures like hotels, resorts, cafes etc it is considered to be on top visited destinations in the world.
On the other hand
,
cities
 with proper
functionality
 are
also
 important.
Functionality
 of the
cities
 only is effective with planning.
This
 task can be only achieved with educated
people
 and responsible leaders who can govern the
city
.
For example
: India is a developing country and in terms of infrastructure and design level its way behind but
on the contrary

functionality
 is what Indians are considered to be top players in education, medicine and technological sectors and
this
 has
also
 been proved during pandemic times to stand tall in every major sector. In my opinion, both design and
functionality
 are important ingredients to shape up a
city
 and both of these are interdependent on each other if a
city
 or country has to run successfully. To sum it up,
cities
 with proper design and effective
functionality
 has the potential to grow and create opportunities to its
people
