Children today spend more time watching television than they did in the past. Describe some of the Advantages and Disadvantages of Television for the children

Nowadays,
children
tend to watch
television
in comparison with the past. While there are some benefits associated with watching
television
by
children
, I believe the main drawbacks are more substantial. On the one hand, a potential advantage of watching
television
for
children

they have easy and instant access to a wide variety of programs. Since they have
this
great chance to watch numerous shows, they can get easily informed about a large number of topics. Another perceived benefit is that
children
can watch several live programs at home while they are spending time with their family members or friends.
Therefore
, it is not necessary to travel to reach a destination, and
as a result
, the traffic will be reduced, and problems
such
as noise pollution and air pollution will not arise.
On the other hand
, a primary disadvantage of watching
television
for long
hours
is the latch in front of the TV for long
hours
. In
this
way, they will lose track of time, and a large number of health problems will be arisen,
such
as obesity. A
further
negative is that
children
lose interpersonal skills and interaction with their peers and do not able to communicate well.
Therefore
, they are not able to allocate time to other activities and they will become socially isolated. On balance, it is true that watching long
hours
would seem advantageous under certain circumstances.
However
, in my view, its negative effects in terms of losing interaction and latching long
hours
override the advantages.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
