In modern society, it is possible to go shopping, work, and accommodate via the Internet without face-to-face contact with one another. To what extent do you think this is a positive or negative development.

In
this
contemporary era,
people
can do great things on the
Internet
without doing them in person. From my perspective, the
Internet
does bring vital changes and merits to our life and pattern, but the demerits cannot be neglected. Admittedly, the advent of the
Internet
is doomed to pose a significant shift to human society, with its unique traits.
First
of all, the
Internet
helps
people
save considerable time, compared to the past.
For instance
, when it comes to shopping,
people
do not have to go out by themselves and still can finish purchasing what they need by clicking the items on the website.
Furthermore
, now,
people
can buy almost everything on the
Internet
, due to the skill of services and well-developed applications. Another benefit is that everyone can become a nomad if they want. These days, the pandemic is going to be more severe, so there is increasing work-from-home demand emerging so that
people
can reduce the chance of exposing themselves in public.
However
, during the development of the
Internet
, it simultaneously exerts the drawbacks to humans in some aspects. On the one hand, the
Internet
changes the way of human interaction, whereas
people
used to cultivate relationships through face-to-face meetings.
This
means that some relationships in
this
day are no longer strengthened or reliable.
Secondly
, the accompanying cyber crimes happen more frequently
such
as cyberbullying, fraud, and being hacked.
For example
, some wrongdoers may steal personal information while it was used to register on some websites or sign up for a membership. In my opinion, the
Internet
does make a conductive effect on our lives,
however
, the negative impact of it cannot be omitted while humans attempt to live in a more advanced world.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
