Over the years, television has become an essential device in homes.

watching television. In

trend and how we can prevent it. Why are

excessively? I believe it is because programs shown on-air are engaging, interactive and easily accessible compared to the olden days.

Children

can watch anything at the click of the remote control, and they do not need to read or search for any books to learn something new or entertain themselves.

Similarly

, no exertion is required while watching

as one can be in the comfort of one’s living room with snacks and drinks.

, most kids start school early in the morning and come home late at noon tired, so the most convenient activity would be to sit on the couch and enjoy the entertaining programs on

pattern becomes a vicious cycle where it occurs daily, and soon, they will be watching more

than they did before. So how do we prevent

? Schools and parents must reinforce outdoor activities to ensure most of their

Nowadays, we find no difficulty of learning from every corner of the world thanks to the development of the Internet. The advances of the Internet and communication technology as well form a new thinking of the world: the world is flat. In this world, language is the most important factor preventing us from living together, communicating and learning cultures of each other. To this end, I strongly agree that foreign language should be a part of curriculum in high schools.
