The bar chart provides information about the proportion of households in accommodation in England and Wales.
Besides
 illustrating whether it was owned or rented compromise, it
also
 shows the trends divided into nine periods from 1918 to 2011. Overall, there was a significant change in households in reconciliation over the nine periods, where the rate of ownership converted from rented to owned compromise. While both ownership types were relatively similar growth or fall over the years, there was some variance, especially in 2011 when the trend was an anomaly. With regards to the percentages of owned reconciliation rose significantly over the years, growing from approximately 22% in 1918 to around 69% in 2001. Later, it was followed by a minor decrease to around 64% by the end of 2011.
On the contrary
, the ratio of a rented compromise fell from 78% in 1918 to 68% in 1939. After the percentage of rented accommodation was stagnant for fourteen years, the ratio went down to 30% in 2001.
Then
, it grew slightly to around 37% in the
next
 decade.
