These days, more and more people prefer to use shared transport such as buses, trams or carsharing applications on their smartphones rather than driving their own cars. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Lately, many
people
have started to prefer to
use
public
transportation
instead
of driving private cars due to many reasons that will be discussed in the paragraph. Using public
transportation
has many advantages as it will decrease the traffic jam which is one of its reasons is the enormous increase in the number of private cars.
Therefore
, if most
people
had public
transportation
, it will decrease the crowd in the streets.
Also
,
people
who
use
public
transportation
save a
lot
of money that could be lost on the fuel of the car.
For example
, the person who has a car spends about L.E 1000 on the fuel of the car,
however
, if he used public
transportation
or started to get used to working he will save a
lot
of money and be more fit
On the other hand
, if a
lot
of
people
used shared
transport
, they will be damaged quickly, especially if the
people
do not take care of what they
use
.
Such
as, there are new trains are uploaded on the railways, they do not spend a year and the chairs are broken and about 50% of the train is damaged.
In addition
, if there is an epidemic, using shared
transport
will not be the best option because it will help a
lot
in spreading the disease.
For instance
, while in Covid 19, many
people
avoided using shared
transport
and they walked for long distances to protect themselves from the disease. To be concluded, using shared
transport
is not a bad choice but it has disadvantages like everything in life. Every person chooses the option that has the least disadvantages for him. It is recommended to
use
shared
transport
except in those special cases.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
