Some countries import a large amount of food from the parts of the world. To what extent is this a positive or negative trend?

Nowadays, some nations import a significant amount of
food
from around the globe. From my point of view,
this
imported
food
offers both positive and negative effects.
To begin
with, as the number of people is rising, so does the demand for
food
is an increase.
Hence
, a lot of countries in the world have to order cuisine from other countries because it is necessary for their population to live. At the same time,
this
process will be unstable and lead to the risk of

. In some cases, the item might be more expensive to purchase.
This
is adding to the rising cost of living.
In addition
, certain methods of
food
preservation include toxic chemicals as preservatives that are harmful to health,
such
as beverages, sweets, tinned
food
, and many more these days.
On the other hand
, farming in many cities in order to export goods can improve their economies.
For example

the exportation of rice, sugar, canned fruit, healthy drinks, and dried seafood.
This
means their population may have earned more money to live on. Several cities do not allow agriculture due to poor soil and water quality.
That is
why they have to order
food
from other parts. Even though importing goods from other nations can be positive for people, it can
also
cause negative effects if they only choose frozen
food
to eat.
Therefore
, it is recommended that they avoid some diets.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
